Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 28 September 2026
Scope of the policy and the products or services it covers
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of access to Course A, the daily news briefing resource provided by dailybriefry. The service includes newsroom planning tools, short-form reports, studio updates, camera coordination guidance, and structured workflows for regular media delivery. It covers both one-time access and recurring subscriptions purchased through our commercial website targeted at customers in the United Kingdom.
Prices, currencies, taxes, and any additional charges
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). They are inclusive of applicable Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate. No additional charges apply for standard access unless expressly stated at checkout. Currency conversion fees may be levied by your card issuer if you pay in a different currency, but these are outside our control.
Accepted payment methods, payment authorisation, and payment security
We accept major credit and debit cards processed through secure third-party gateways compliant with PCI DSS standards. Payment is authorised at the time of order. All transactions use encrypted connections. We do not store full card details on our systems.
Order, booking, or service confirmation and when a contract is formed
Upon successful payment, you will receive an email confirmation containing order details and access instructions. The contract is formed when we send this confirmation. Access to Course A begins immediately for digital subscriptions unless otherwise specified.
Cancellation rights and applicable cancellation periods
Under UK consumer law, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase during which you may cancel for a full refund, provided you have not started using the digital content. For subscriptions, cancellation can be made at any time via your account settings, with access continuing until the end of the paid period.
Refund eligibility, exclusions, and non-refundable items or services
Refunds are available within the 14-day period if no substantial use has occurred. Exclusions apply to content already accessed, customised workflows, or promotional offers. Services partially delivered are non-refundable beyond statutory rights.
The step-by-step procedure and information required to request a refund
To request a refund, email [email protected] with your order number, date of purchase, and reason. Include your account email address. We will acknowledge receipt within two working days and guide you through any further steps.
Inspection, approval, rejection, and notification of the refund decision
We will review your request within five working days. You will be notified by email of approval or rejection with reasons. Approved refunds are processed promptly.
Refund method, processing time, and when funds should reach the customer
Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing takes up to 10 working days, though bank timelines may vary. You will receive confirmation once issued.
Special rules for digital content, subscriptions, services, or promotional offers where relevant
Digital access to Course A is non-returnable once downloaded or streamed. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. Promotional offers are subject to their own terms and may not qualify for refunds after redemption.
Failed payments, duplicate charges, chargebacks, and suspected fraud
Failed payments will be retried once. Duplicate charges are investigated and refunded automatically where confirmed. Chargebacks are handled in line with card scheme rules. Suspected fraud leads to account suspension pending verification.
Mandatory consumer rights in the target country that the policy cannot exclude
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. These rights cannot be excluded.
